Ongoing Studies

Vascular Sealant
The clinical study for our internal, absorbable vascular sealant commenced in the fourth quarter of 2003. This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of an internal sealant for blood leaks in vascular surgery.

General Information on Trials
Clinical trials are carefully monitored studies based on an approved protocol with specific and measurable endpoints and sometimes secondary endpoints. Since most clinical studies involve considerable expenditures in terms of time, effort, energy, and money and involve many people, it is absolutely imperative that the study adhere to a carefully crafted protocol, which determines the various steps required for patients and their healthcare teams. Data obtained from clinical trials helps physicians, manufacturers, and government agencies decide on the best methods of treatment.
